Amanda is a North Carolina Native. She is the youngest of six children, and grew up in Asheville. In her large family, the ability to resolve conflict was learned at an early age.
Amanda obtained her undergraduate degree from Western Carolina University with a major in Theater Performance and a minor in Fine Arts. Prior to attending law school, she worked for three years as the Production Manager of a professional North Carolina theater. During law school, Amanda was able to discover a new passion by giving back to her community through the practice of law, and she also met her future husband: a Pakistani-American, and fellow-student (who also happens to be the firm’s Office Manager and Paralegal).
After passing the North Carolina bar, she accepted a position with a firm as an Associate Attorney, where she would handle family law cases. Through her interactions with various family law clients, who were often simultaneously questioning immigration matters within their homes, Amanda found the importance of offering legal services that recognize and appreciate each client's unique cultural background.
When not in the office, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband, their two dogs (Taz and Rocky), and their cat (Max). Amanda still loves to sing, dance, and act, and is a proud Hufflepuff.
